Daniel R. DeBruycker was named principal of Crystal Lake South High School in 2026 after previously serving as principal at Metea Valley High School for three years. Before serving as principal at MVHS, he served as Assistant Principal for five years and Athletic Director for three years. He also taught math at Crystal Lake South for 12 years. Daniel R. DeBruycker holds a bachelor's degree in secondary education with an emphasis in math from Aurora University, a master of arts in teaching from Webster University, and a master’s in educational leadership from Northern Illinois University.
